Wheelock House in Central | Ho Kan: Step into Hong Kong

Description
Wheelock House stands tall in a prime location on Pedder Street in Central, serving as a crucial hub for Hong Kong's international finance and commerce, as well as a melting pot of cultural exchange. As a prominent building under the Wheelock Group, the tower boasts an exceptional business environment and global outlook, making it a pivotal driver of the city's development and cultural innovation.
The Peak Salon on the 9th floor of Wheelock House presents over 40 pieces of Ho Kan's geometric abstract art, including several debuts, fully showcasing the influence of abstract art in the contemporary cultural context.
Ho Kan has a deep connection with Hong Kong. As early as 1964, when he traveled to Milan, he transited through Hong Kong by cruise ship for the first time. In 2024, to commemorate six decades of his affinity with Hong Kong, he held his first solo exhibition in the city, titled 'Reencounter, Returning', at Exchange Square in Central. In 2025, Ho Kan and Wheelock Properties joined forces to present 'Ho Kan: Step into Hong Kong', seamlessly blending art with urban aesthetics through the architectural and design vocabulary of Wheelock.
Starting with Hong Kong Arts Month in March, the exhibition will span nearly three months, allowing visitors to witness how Ho Kan's geometric abstract art shines with new vibrancy in the modern metropolis.
